Region 2 Tournament Watch: The December SJCC in Milwaukee Now Closes October 18, and Grand Rapids Has Three Full Women's Epee Fields

The biggest Region 2 deadline is a national one again. USA Fencing extended regular registration for the December SJCC in Milwaukee (Dec 4–6). It was set to close October 7, and now closes Sunday, October 18. 1,708 fencers have entered, up from 1,375 a week ago. USA Fencing hasn't published caps for it.
Region 2 itself has 5 tournaments with 35 events at 80% or higher, and 14 of them full, up from 8 last week. Fall GRAFA's Third Coast Cup in Grand Rapids (Nov 6–8) jumped from 2 events at 80% or higher to 12, and Escrime d'Halloween in Twinsburg added two more full fields.

2026 Escrime d'Halloween RYC/RJCC (Twinsburg, Oct 24–25): the regular deadline passed on October 2, and late registration at USA Fencing's late fee runs until October 16, Friday. Cadet Women's Foil (48 of 49), Y12 Men's Foil (55 of 56) and Y14 Men's Epee (20 of 21) have 1 spot each.
The November NAC in Columbus (Nov 20–23) is in late registration until November 19, also at the late fee. Junior Men's Saber is at 314 of 336.

Grand Rapids is the one to watch. A week ago the Third Coast Cup had 2 fields at 80% or higher; today it has 12, three of them full, and the regular deadline is October 30. If your fencer is going, register this week, not the week it closes. Twinsburg is late registration only now, at USA Fencing's late fee. The December SJCC has until Sunday. For winter, Wildcat and Motor City are open and nearly empty, and Fencing Center of Chicago is open too.
