Region 2 Tournament Watch: The December SJCC in Milwaukee Closes Today, and Escrime d'Halloween Has Five Full Events
Wednesday, October 7, 2026 · Bout-Buddy Editorial
The biggest Region 2 deadline this week is a national one. Regular registration for the December SJCC in Milwaukee (Dec 4–6) closes today, October 7, with 1,375 fencers entered. USA Fencing hasn't published caps for it.
Region 2 itself has 4 tournaments with 22 events at 80% or higher, and 8 of them full, up from 1 full event a week ago. The new entry is 2026 Escrime d'Halloween RYC/RJCC in Twinsburg, OH (Oct 24–25): 5 full events and 11 more at 80% or higher. Its regular deadline has passed, so it is late registration only now, at USA Fencing's late fee.

Region 2 went from 1 full event to 8 in a week, and most of that is Twinsburg. If your fencer meant to go to Escrime d'Halloween and hasn't registered, the choice now is USA Fencing's late fee, or a wait-list in the five full fields. The Third Coast Cup in Grand Rapids is next: one field full, the rest open, and the regular deadline is October 30. For winter, Wildcat and Motor City are open and nearly empty, and Fencing Center of Chicago is open too. And if the December SJCC is on your list, today is the day.
