Region 1 Tournament Watch: Seattle's Fall Circuit Is Filling Up

Region 1 fencers, take note: the Seattle-area USAF circuit — Rain City, Emerald City, and Salle Auriol — is running a steady cadence of tournaments this fall and winter, and several are already tightening well before their deadlines. On the national side, October NAC is already sold out on its Division I Men's Epee field, and November NAC is trending the same way at 89% full. The good news locally: with three more events on the calendar through December (and a fourth already showing early demand for January), there's plenty of runway to get your fencer in.

Salle Auriol Seattle RYC (Jan 30, 2027) is the next one up after December, and it's already showing early interest — one youth foil field is at 81% with four months still to go. If your fencer had a tough tournament this fall, or missed a deadline above, this is the one to put on the calendar and register for early rather than waiting.
Every one of these Seattle-area tournaments follows the same shape: cadet and junior epee/foil fields lock up first, youth fields fill a few weeks behind. None of them are wide open right now — but January is, and getting in early is the whole game with this circuit.
